Términos & Condiciones

1. BOOKING & PAYMENT INFO-

A. Inka Sites Adventures strive to offer high quality services while offering reasonable travel prices.  Please keep in mind that the costs of some things, like expedition or tourist class train tickets increase as the date before travel decreases (affects Machu Picchu travel costs).

We will keep with the price we quoted to you initially unless:
-more than 3 months elapses between our first quote and your decision to book,
-and /or if it gets too close to the travel date and ticket prices increase.  In this case, we will let you know of the increased prices and therefore our effective price increase.

* The more in advance you book, the better the cost (for tours such as Machu Picchu, Inka Trail, or others requiring
travel by train).

B. Every year prices are subject to increase for services such as train, bus and other transportation, hotels & entrance fees.  We wish our tour prices could be the same every year, but unfortunately these increases in costs mean our tour prices must also subsequently increase. We strive for honesty and integrity with our prices and in communicating to our customers.  You are welcome to email with any questions or concerns.

C. The following information is required for booking most of the significant and regulated tours in Peru (Inka Trail, other treks, Machu Picchu, etc):   the traveler full name (as it appears on passport), date-of-birth, nationality, and current Passport #.  Should you be going through a Passport renewal process between the point of booking and point of embarking on your tour, you will at minimum need to show both your current passport and a photocopy of the anterior.  We recommend that you bring both originals, and always have a back-up photocopy.
Your physical passport is required at point of check-in for the Inka Trail, Machu Picchu, and for some other
treks and tours.

D. We require a minimum of half of your tour/ trek/ travel package total to be paid at the point of booking.
Payments can be made via secure bank transfers or Western Union.  We reserve the right to add a fee to cover processing costs incurred  by the 3rd party transfer host.  Please be aware of any fees that may be included with the transfer option you choose.   If you haven’t received confirmation from us of having received your transfer within 5 business days, please contact us immediately.
The remaining total can be paid at least 10 days before our services commence.  (Special cases may be approved for payment at time of arrival to Cusco). At this time we do not have Visa or MasterCard payment in office, but you
may pay with a money order or preferably with cash in USD or PEN.

E. When paying with American cash:  Please ensure that your bills in USD are clean, crisp, new-looking without marks or rips (a general requirement for paying with USD in all of Peru).

F. The 18% IGV charge for Peruvian residents and foreign residents is not included in our prices, but we can provide Factura or Boleta receipts.

2. REFUNDS-

A. Because of the strict government guidelines for reserving Machu Picchu tours and Inka Trail treks, as well as Expedition and Tourist Class train guidelines, we cannot change or cancel bookings made after they have been confirmed by the system. For this reason, Inka Sites Adventures cannot refund money for cancellations to the Inka Trail.

For other treks (please check which ones with us to be sure), Machu Picchu and traditional tours refunds are as
follows:

21 days or more before departure of services:  50% refund
Within 20 days before departure of services: no refund

3. FORCED CHANGES OR CANCELLATIONS-

A. Inka Sites Adventures reserves the right to make changes to or cancel our services should some unusual
and unforeseen circumstance arrive that could affect the safety of our staff or clients.  Such examples include
terrorism, natural disasters, political instability or other external events which make it nonviable for us to operate as planned. In such a case, we would look for a beneficial solution for all parties.

4. OUR SERVICES-

A. We strive to provide an all-around positive travel experience, with experienced, educated guides who look out for your safety and comfort.  We aim to give a list of the points of service INCLUDED and NOT INCLUDED for each tour or trek that we offer, but please ask if you have questions to be sure before you make travel arrangements with us.

B. trust to look for a positive solution.  If you feel that things have not been solved, please feel free to contact us in the office with your concerns.  As we always say:  There is a solution to every problem!  We want you to feel satisfied with all of the elements of our services.

5. LIABILITY-

A. Inka Sites Adventures is not liable for any material losses incurred while you travel with us, unless directly a result of ill care of one of our staff.  Please take care of your belongings.  We will do whatever we can to help or investigate
situations of loss or theft, helping make proper announcements to the authorities.

B. We employ Guides who are experienced and trained, so that if safety or health related issues occur, we trust their decision-making authority on the trail or tour. However, we are not liable for health and safety related accidents that
could incur due to unforeseen circumstances (see examples below) .  You must assume responsibility for your own health condition, understanding your own fitness level and ability.  It is always recommended to purchase travel and health insurance before travel to a foreign country, and especially to those of the 3rd world.  Be aware of the health and safety risks of the zone or area you are travelling to before- hand (ex. Earthquakes, political issues, riots, landslides, preventable illnesses by immunizations, etc.)

C. We urge our clients to let us know in advance of any major health issues.  You are responsible for your own well-being, but we want to serve and attend you to the best of our ability.  Please let us know of issues such as allergies, heart-conditions, diabetes, low or high blood pressure, asthma and any other major health cases.  In these cases, a health waiver will be required to be filled out and signed for the benefit of officials and staff should any subsequently related problem arise on the tour.  Please be prepared during your travels with your own appropriate medications.
