Espinar Moray & Machupicchu 4D/3N

DAY 1.- CUSCO – 4 LAGOONS PAMPAMARKA ACOPIA + QESWACHAKA (L)(D)

After your breakfast we will collect form your hotel to start the trip.
Four Lakes: this new ecotourism and cultural circuit offers interesting attractions, starting from Cusco’s South Valley and ascending to the high Andean plateaus, at an altitude superior to 3,600 m.a.s.l.. With four beautiful lakes, you will likely spot wild ducks, herons, gulls, migratory birds and a diversity of fish, such as trout, pickerel, and others. Of the four lakes, the Pomacanchi Lagoon is the largest and most important one.
Our next destination is a visit of the famous Queswachaka Bridge:
Queswachaca (3,600 meters) is an ancestral bridge that is a clear demonstration of Inca architecture. It is built on the Apurimac River in the province of Canas. Every year, approximately 1000 villagers of Winchiri and Perccaro come together to reconstruct the bridge, using skills that have been passed down from generations. The dimension of the bridge are 33 meters long and 1.20 meters wide, made of a straw material and braided. Those who would like to can cross the bridge. Afterwards, we will take our lunch, and then continue on to Chaquella Hot Springs where you can swim and enjoy the place and where we will camp for the night.

Day 2: MAUKALLAQTA + THREE CANYONS OF SUYKUTAMBO (B)(L)

After breakfast, we will continue on our trip to Maukallaqta, where the guide will give an explanation about this place.  After that you will have time to enjoy and explore the site on your own. After lunch we will continue on our way to the Three Canyons. This includes the wonderful canyon of Suykutambo, a perfect place to appreciate the beauty of the natural local flora, fauna and geography. This place is a famous site because it’s  where three mouths of rivers meet together: Apurimac, Callamani and Cerritambo, thus named Three Canyons.  We will have the opportunity to see the sunset over this place with our guide taking us to the top for the awesome view over the three canyons. After taking our photos we will travel back to Cusco.

DAY 3: MORAY & AGUAS CALIENTES (B)

Pick up from hotel in Cusco and then travel by our touristic transport through the Sacred Valley to Moray: Belonging to the classic Incan period, these giant circular terraces that make up the site of Moray resemble a soccer stadium, only without the seats. According to one traditional theory, Moray may have been a series of amphitheaters with a capacity for 70,000 people, which could have served to train young Incas and for hosting social or religious festivities. This is a theory because of how voices from the lowest platform to the highest can be heard very clearly throughout the circular site. A more modern theory believes that Moray was built of an agricultural nature because of the shape and position of the terraces, the existence of water channels and the existence of different micro-climates thus created on each terrace.
After touring Moray, we will continue to Ollantaytambo train station, with many restaurant options for lunch, and then you will take the train to Machupicchu.  A one hour and 40 minute train journey to Aguas Calientes town include amazing views along the way! At Aguas Calientes station our staff will pick you up and take you to the hotel. The afternoon is free for personal plans (you can visit the hot springs for 10 Peruvian soles, or take a walk to the Inka Museum, etc.).

Day 4: MACHUPICCHU FULL DAY (B)

After breakfast provided in hotel, we walk to the bus station to take the bus up the mountain to  Machu Picchu entrance (about 30 minutes and 400 meters above the Aguas Calientes town).  At the entrance everyone must register with original passports. There is also opportunity to see the sunrise, as your guided tour of the citadel commences, including the sites of the Main Plaza, Circular Tower (Torre Circular), Sacred Solar Clock (Sagrado Reloj Solar), the Sacred Quarters, Temple of the Three Windows and the cemeteries.  Later you will have free time to tour the rest of Machu Picchu, take photos and finally descend back down the mountain in bus to Aguas Calientes town.  Here you will catch the return train to Ollantaytambo and then Cusco.
