Sacred Valley & Valley Bottom 4D/3N

DAY 1: SACRED VALLEY TOUR (L)

After breakfast provided in hotel, we pick you up in our touristic transport between 8:20am – 8:30am and head out to the Sacred Valley of the Incas.  We will have a strategic look-out above the Taray village; see the snow-capped Veronica Mountain and more of the beautiful Valleys along the way.  Arriving to Pisac community, we will tour a typical hand-craft market, which was long-ago known as the place to interchange products for many villages in the area. Later, we take a guided tour of the ruins of Pisac, and then continue to Urubamba for a buffet lunch.  Continuing on our adventure, we stop in Ollantaytambo to see the impressive Inca archaeological complex which includes a unique architecture similar to the Tiahuanaco culture from the South of Peru, finally spend the night in Urubamba or Ollantaytambo.

DAY 2: OLLANTAYTAMBO – KM 88 – MACHU Q’ENTE – PACAYMAYU BAJO (L)(D)

We will pick you up in our private transport from your hotel in the Sacred Valley hotel  with transfer to Km 82 where beginning our trek with direction to KM 88 (Qorihuayrachina) also we will meet with our chef, porters, etc and then enjoy the beautiful Inca trail by the valley bottom to Machupicchu.  We start off crossing the Urubamba River by bridge where we will have to show our original passports at the government control entrance point.  Shortly after we take a tour through the archeological complex of Machu Q’ente, Huayna Q’ente and Patallaqta, and afterwards we can see much vegetation en-route to our first campsite located in Pacaymayu Bajo.

DAY 3: PACAYMAYU – CHACHABAMBA – WIÑAYHUAYNA – INTI PUNKU –PUENTE RUINAS (BRIDGE RUINS) (B)(L)(D)

After a good breakfast prepared by our excellent chefs, we start the hike in the direction of the archeological ruins of Chachabamba (located at 2250 meters above sea level).  We will have a short tour here understanding the importance of this place for holding and storing agricultural products to be taken to Machu Picchu long ago.  We continue our trek until Wiñay Huayna, with beautiful views along the way of the Urubamba River as well as a mega diversity of flora including a variety of famous orchids.  Once in Wiñay Huayna, we will have a break to visit this important site belonging to the Inca Trail’s Archeological Group.  After lunch, we continue walking until Machu Picchu, passing Inti Punku (The Sun Gate) where we can see the beautiful Machu Picchu city at sundown.  We then descend until the Bridge Ruins (located at 2000 m) we will set up campsite.

DAY 4: PUENTE RUINAS (BRIDGE RUINS) – MACHUPICCHU – CUSCO ( B )

After breakfast in camp, we take a bus about a 30 minute trip to the Machu Picchu entrance point (2400 m) with opportunity to see the sunrise and enjoy the presence of few other tourists at this time.  With a guided tour of the citadel, we visit the principal plaza, Circular Tower, Sacred Sun Dial, living quarters, Temple of the Three Windows and cemeteries.  Later there is free time to explore more, take photos and then catch the descending bus down to Aguas Calientes town where we catch the return train to Cusco city or Sacred Valley
